Three-Phase Compact Containerized Substation (1 – 12 MVA, 33 kV – 132 kV)

Delivered ready-to-run inside a standard ISO 20 ft or 40 ft HC container, this fully-integrated substation packs MV switchgear, three-phase ONAN/ONAF transformer and LV distribution into a theft- and vandal-resistant IP54 steel shell-no civil works, just drop, cable, energize.

The modular steel frame accepts ratings from 1 MVA to 12 MVA at 33, 66 or 132 kV with 25 kA / 1 s short-time withstand; vacuum or SF₆ load-break switches plus withdrawable circuit breakers are arc-fault rated 31.5 kA / 1 s, while pressure-relief roofs and 50 ms arc-venting relays protect both operators and downstream assets.

Low-loss CRGO core (< 1 W/kg no-load) and corrugated-tank cooling deliver 55 K rise at 45 °C ambient, cutting losses by 20 % versus site-built yards; dual-stage oil pumps boost ONAF capacity 40 % without enlarging footprint. Fire-resistant mineral oil or biodegradable ester fluid options, together with -40 °C cold-start heaters, make the unit suitable for deserts, tundra or offshore platforms. Internally partitioned HV, transformer and LV compartments provide Form 4b segregation; doors are interlocked so the container cannot be opened while the switch is live.

Integrated protection relays (IEC 61850), Rogowski CTs and fiber-optic hotspot sensors feed SCADA or cloud dashboards for real-time temperature, DGA and partial-discharge trending, enabling 15 % emergency overload and predictive maintenance. Acoustic foam and labyrinth air inlets hold noise ≤ 60 dB(A) at 1 m-quiet enough for urban substations. Container corners retain ISO lifting & twist-lock points, allowing crane, truck or rail transport and stackable storage on site. Seismic-qualified to 0.4 g, wind-proof to 200 km/h and altitude-rated to 4 000 m, the three-phase compact containerized substation is factory FAT-tested, oil-filled and powered up within 6 hours of arrival, backed by a 25-year design-life warranty.
